Departure from Ushuaia or Punta Arenas.
Embarkation:
Board your expedition vessel in either Ushuaia, Argentina, or Punta Arenas, Chile. Meet your fellow travelers and expedition team, settle into your cabin, and attend a safety briefing
Sailing the Drake:
Navigate the challenging waters of the Drake Passage, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans converge. Attend lectures by expert guides on Antarctic wildlife, geology, and history.
Sail through the stunning Channel, often called the "Kodak Gap" for its photogenic quality, flanked by towering cliffs and icebergs. Visit the historic British research station and museum, where you can learn about early Antarctic explorers and send a postcard from the world's southernmost post office. Witness large colonies of Adélie and gentoo penguins, striking ice formations, and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Throughout your journey, observe a variety of wildlife, including seals lounging on ice floes, whales breaching the surface, and numerous penguin colonies.
